Getty Taylor Swift just released her new song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Toy Story 5 , and now fans are speculating about her chances at the Academy Awards. Related to the Toy Story universe, Randy Newman was nominated in that category with a song from each of the first four Toy Story films, and won once for “We Belong Together” from Toy Story 3 . If nominated, this would be a first-time Oscars nomination for Taylor and Jack . But does it have any chance of landing a Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammys? Yes, “I Knew It, I Knew You” is eligible for the category at next year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. The award recognizes songs written specifically for a motion picture, television, video game, or other visual media. which means it meets core eligibility criteria.
