Getty Druski is joining the cast of The Catch . The 31-year-old comedian is set to join Emma Stone and Chris Pine in the upcoming Dave McCary -directed film. (If you didn’t know, Emma and Dave are married!) The rom-com is “described as Bull Durham meets Notting Hill with Stone playing the most hated woman in baseball.” Druski will play Emma ‘s character’s security guard, according to Deadline . Ashley Padilla will be playing the role of Emma ‘s character’s sister. The film start production next month in New York, via THR. Hacks co-creator Jen Statsky and Adam Ruins Everything writer Travis Helwig wrote the most recent script, which was originally penned by Patrick Kang and Michael Levin . The movie is set to hit theaters on May 21, 2027. Earlier in the month, Emma and Dave stepped out for the 2026 Producers Guild Awards held at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. They’ve been together for six years. Dave was previously a writer and segment director on Saturday Night Live . He made his directorial debut in 2017 with the movie Brigsby Bear . Chris was attached to the project back in February and he’s no stranger to romantic comedies after having his breakout movie role as the romantic lead in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement . We recently learned that he’s set to appear in the upcoming third movie of that franchise!
