Disney/Pixar Disney and Pixar’s new movie Gatto just got a first look teaser trailer! The upcoming animated movie was first announced a year ago during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival , and isn’t set to be released until spring 2027. What the movie is about After years of maneuvering the canal-ridden, superstitious city of Venice, Italy, Nero begins to question whether he’s lived the right lives. Indebted to Rocco, the local feline mob boss, Nero finds himself in a quandary and is forced to forge a truly unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose—unless Venice gets the better of him first. The above teaser trailer introduces viewers to Nero and Rocco during an interrogation scene. In addition to the teaser trailer, it has been revealed that Mark Ruffalo and Laurence Fishburne have joined the voice cast of the upcoming movie. Mark will voice the scrappy black cat Nero, while Laurence is voicing Rocco, the ruthless mob boss cat. The upcoming animated feature takes place in the “feline-run underbelly of Venice, Italy,” and comes from the team behind Luca – director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren . Gatto is set to hit theaters on March 5th! The Gatto teaser trailer comes ahead of the release of Disney and Pixar’s next movie, Toy Story 5 , which debuts in theaters NEXT Friday (June 19).
