Getty Steve Burton is making new allegations against ex-wife Sheree Gustin amid their ongoing custody battle. In new court documents obtained by Page Six , the 55-year-old General Hospital actor claimed that his ex-wife is engaging in “blatant parental alienation” and “systematically” undermining his relationship with their 11-year-old daughter Brooklyn . Steve also alleged that Sheree has “made it impossible” for him to exercise his court-ordered custody by “repeatedly refus[ing]” to allow his current wife Michelle Lundstrom , whom he married in 2025 , to pick up his daughter from school on his behalf even though she is a “consistent parental figure” in the child’s life. “As a result, Sheree ’s actions have created unnecessary obstacles to my ability to exercise my custodial time and maintain regular and meaningful contact with Brooklyn . Instead of supporting my relationship with our daughter, Sheree has routinely made exercising my parenting time more difficult than necessary,” Steve stated in his complaint. Additionally, Steve accused Sheree of refusing to “acknowledge Michelle ’s role as [his] wife or Michelle ’s daughters as Brooklyn ’s stepsisters,” despite saying that Brooklyn has a “close relationship” with them. He further alleged that ex-wife refused to work with him on letting Brooklyn visit his home in Tennessee after he moved out of California. Steve claimed that Sheree “manipulates” him into giving up his custodial time and has been “deliberately manipulating Brooklyn into wanting to spend Christmas with her.” However, in her response filming obtained by People , Sheree denied Steve ‘s claims of “alienation,” explaining that the former couple had worked out a parenting schedule in previous litigation. She insisted that she is happy for Brooklyn to spend time with her father, but doesn’t want the 11-year-old to “spend half her life traveling” and be away from home for longer than three weeks. Sheree argued that if Steve wants to see his daughter more than the allotted time, he can come to California to visit her. Steve first filed for divorce in July 2022 after 20 years together, and just a few months after announcing they were separated and she was pregnant with another man’s child. Along with Brooklyn , Steve and Sherre are also parents to daughter McKenna , 23, and Jack , 20. Earlier this year, Steve announced that he is taking an extended break from General Hospital .
