Pophouse Acquires Half Sia’s Music Catalog

Pophouse Entertainment said on Thursday (Oct. 1) it acquired a 50% stake of Australian singer-songwriter Sia ’s publishing and master music rights, according to a joint statement from the artist and Swedish entertainment company that owns rights to music by KISS , Cyndi Lauper , Iron Maiden and Tina Turner . “I’m really excited to be working with Pophouse,” the “Elastic Heart” artist said in the statement. “These songs mean so much to me, and I love that they really understand that and want to take care of them. I’ve been making music for a very long time now, and it feels exciting to think about all the new and different ways these songs might get to live on and find people. TMZ reported the artist will receive $165 million for rights to the songs she wrote before 2022, with an additional $15 million for songs written after 2022 that will be held in escrow, according to its story on Tuesday (Sept. 29). Born Sia Furler, the pop star gained acclaim for her contributions to hits like Rihanna ‘s “Diamonds” and Beyoncé ‘s “Pretty Hurts.” The pop star’s unmistakable voice rose to international prominence following the release of her 2014 album 1000 Forms of Fear and its Top 10 hit “Chandelier.” Pophouse acquired Sia’s catalog with its Pophouse Fund I , which it closed with $1.3 billion in 2025 and tapped to fund the acquisition of rights to songs by KISS , Cyndi Lauper , Avicii and Swedish House Mafia . “Sia is an artist whose extraordinary catalog and unique creative identity offer exceptional opportunities to celebrate and build on her remarkable body of work,” Pophouse CEO Jessica Koravos said in the statement. “This partnership will further empower Sia with strategic support and creative resources to continue pursuing her artistic ambitions while preserving and expanding her influence.” Sia continues to make music, releasing “Awake Tonight” in April with Afrojack and David Guetta 15 years after the trio’s hit “Titanium.” Another Sia-Guetta collaboration, “Beautiful People” topped Spotify’s Australian Music Global Impact List in February. The chart ranks the most globally streamed songs by Australian artists. The transaction follows what the artist has publicly called the “difficult year” defined by her bitter divorce with ex-David Bernhad and custody settlement requiring her to pay $42,500 according to month in child support.
