Getty Images Jalen Brunson had a message for the Swifties – aka Taylor Swift ‘s fanbase – after the New York Knicks won the NBA Championship on Saturday (June 13) . If you don’t know, earlier in the team’s fight to win the title, Taylor was in attendance at one of their games. Monica McNutt , a Knicks analyst, was caught saying, “She’s not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl.” After receiving some backlash for her statement, Jalen , who won MVP for his role in helping the Knicks win the victory over the San Antonio Spurs, had a message for the Swifties who may be upset about her comment. In defense of Monica , Jalen told them : “I just want to say something to the Swifties: She’s a really good one. Cut her some slack.
