Universal Pictures Shrek is back! The beloved character, voiced by Mike Myers , is set to return in Shrek 5 , and the first teaser trailer was just released on Tuesday (June 16). Eddie Murphy also returns as Donkey, and Cameron Diaz returns as Fiona. Zendaya joins as Shrek and Fiona’s daughter, Felicia, and Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo join as Felicia’s brothers, Fergus and Farkle. Shrek ‘s Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn are directing the latest project. (Conrad was on the directing team for Shrek 2 and voices Gingerbread Man (Gingy) in all the movies. Walt worked as a writer and artist on the third and fourth movies, and was Head of Story on the fourth movie, along with voicing Rumpelstiltskin in Shrek Forever After . “It’s happening… it’s really happening! Experience Shrek 5 only in theaters summer 2027,” the teaser’s description proclaims. Watch the teaser above! Find out which Shrek stars are the richest in the cast. Back in February, a teaser dropped offering a glimpse of Zendaya ‘s new character, and she has red hair like her mother. In the clip, Donkey asks the magic mirror who is “the fairest of them all,” to which the mirror responds “Shrek, of course,” and then showed various racy photos of the ogre. “Ew dad!” Shrek’s daughter cries out.
