Tubi Tubi is getting ready to kick off the Fourth of July weekend with a brand-new original movie! The streamer has released the official trailer and details for Summer’s Last Resort , a comedy starring Sophia Bush , Jerry O’Connell , and Violet McGraw . The film is set to premiere exclusively on Tubi on Friday, July 3, 2026. Summer’s Last Resort centers on a tightly wound teenager whose vacation plans are turned upside down when she finds herself spending time with her mom’s overly eager boyfriend. Here’s the official synopsis shared by Tubi. A high-strung teen’s vacation takes a turn when she’s trapped with her free-spirited mom’s try-hard boyfriend, who also happens to be her vice principal. Determined to end the romance, she hatches a secret breakup plan that spirals into a week of sunburns, sabotage and unexpected feelings. In addition to Sophia , Jerry , and Violet , the cast also includes Tim Rozon and Clara Alexandrova . The project comes from writer Emily Andras , known for her work on Wynonna Earp and Lost Girl , while Melanie Scrofano directs. Scrofano is also known to fans for her work both in front of and behind on the camera on Wynonna Earp , as well as Heartland . Summer’s Last Resort was produced by Blue Ice Pictures, with Andras and Lance Samuels serving as executive producers.
