Getty The late Daveigh Chase ‘s death was confirmed by her boyfriend Roy Hernandez , but now the actress’ former manager is claiming that her family doesn’t know him. Daveigh passed away this week at the age of 35 after battling meningitis, which led to septic issues. Her passing happened after she was hospitalized earlier this month for malnutrition. After Daveigh ‘s death, a GoFundMe page launched by Roy came to light , in which he claimed that he met the actress after she had a “painful falling out with her family.” He said that he started the fundraiser to give Daveigh a “sense of home and peace in her final days.” Daveigh Chase’s former manager calls out the GoFundMe Daveigh ‘s former manager and friend spoke to TMZ and said that the actress’ family and friends are skeptical about the GoFundMe. They’re advising people to not donate. “A man claiming to be Daveigh’s boyfriend has launched a GoFundMe page purportedly on behalf of Daveigh and her family. Neither her family nor her close friends know who this person is. I can confirm Daveigh has a SAG trust account with more than enough funds to cover all medical and related expenses.” Roy responded to the manager by saying he’s planning on using the GoFundMe page to give Daveigh a “proper memorial.” TMZ reports that Daveigh ‘s father is in touch with the hospital to claim her body. Daveigh was widely recognized for her portrayal of Samara Morgan in The Ring , as well as for lending her voice to Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and Chihiro in the English-language version of Spirited Away .
