Taylor Swift ’s The Life of a Showgirl spends a 14th nonconsecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart (dated Oct. 17), earning 93,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending Oct. 8 (down 46%), according to Luminate. Elvis Presley has the second-most weeks at No. 1 among soloists, with 67. The total encompasses her 15 No. 1 albums; she is tied with Drake for the most among soloists. Only The Beatles have more weeks at No. 1 (132) and more No. 1 albums (19) among all artists. The Billboard 200 began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in March 1956. Also in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, Drake ’s HABIBTI soars 116-2 (returning to its peak) after it was reissued with four additional songs. The Beatles’ chart-topping Rubber Soul is back on the chart for the first time in more than a decade after an expansive deluxe reissue, as it re-enters at No. 4. Plus, Mac Miller ’s The Divine Feminine returns to the top 10, vaulting 159-10, after its 10th anniversary reissue. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.
