Netflix Michelle Buteau is sharing her thoughts on the big news involving her show, The Circle . The 48-year-old comedian hosted all seven seasons of the Netflix reality competition series from 2020 through 2024, but the show has been on break since then. It was just announced that Hulu has picked up the show for a new version that will feature both civilian competitors and celebrity contestants. There will also be a new audience voting aspect, for the first time in the US version, and will be “reimagined” as a “fast-turnaround” social experiment. That’s not all, it’s set to be set in real time! The new version of The Circle will “bring everyday players and celebrities to compete side by side in a game of popularity where identity is ever-changing, and anyone can be anyone. Essentially, contestants move into separate apartments in the same building but are kept isolated from each other. They are only allowed to communicate via a specific app using text and photos but they can decide to play the game as themselves or anyone else they like.” Michelle Buteau reacts on Watch What Happens Live While appearing on the Sunday (June 21) episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live talk show, Michelle was asked about the news. “I’m glad that The Circle found a new home, because it’s a great show. I hosted the U.S. version, the longest-running version for seven seasons, and I put my foot in it, my back, my back fat, my right titty, I put all the stuff in it. But, they’re not going to go through with me being the host and so I say, good luck, bless up, I hope you have fun putting a square in the circle,” she said. Watch below.
