Getty Jack Schlossberg bid for Congress has come to an end. On Tuesday night (June 23), the 33-year-old lawyer and grandson of President John F. Kennedy , lost the Congressional primary in New York’s heavily Democratic 12th district. The Associated Press and NBC News called the 12 Congressional District race for state Assemblymember Micah Lasher , with over 39% of votes, according to preliminary results with about about 86% of ballots counted. Assemblymember Alex Bores came in second with 35% followed by Schlossberg , who came in a distant third with less than 11%. Throughout the campaign, Lasher and Bores have led the polls with Schlossberg trailing behind them. If you didn’t know, Schlossberg announced his Congressional run back in November 2025. “I’m not running because I have all the answers to our problems. I’m running because the people of New York 12 do,” he said at the time. “I want to listen to your struggles, hear your stories, amplify your voice, go to Washington and execute on your behalf.” The Democratic nominee is expected to cruise to victory in November and replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler , D-New York, a longtime liberal lawmaker from the affluent 12th district in Manhattan. In a recent interview, Jack Schlossberg spoke candidly about the loss of his sister Tatiana , who died in December after a battle with cancer. She was 35.
