Warner Bros. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are getting witchy once again. The stars appear in the new trailer for Practical Magic 2 , only in theaters in North America on September 11, and internationally beginning September 9. Here’s the official synopsis: “ PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 returns to a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic, as the Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem.” Joey King , Lee Pace , Maisie Williams , Xolo Maridueña , Solly McLeod , Dianne Wiest , and Stockard Channing all star in the film, based on the novel The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman . Aidan Quinn is revealing why he wasn’t involved in Practical Magic 2 . Learn more about who else is returning and not returning for the film here . Susanne Bier , who worked with Nicole on The Perfect Couple and with Sandra on Bird Box , is directing the movie with a script by Akiva Goldsman (who wrote the original film) and Georgia Pritchett . Sandra and Nicole promoted Practical Magic 2 at 2026 CinemaCon . The two stars did a playful riff on Nicole ‘s now-iconic AMC ad, with Sandra asking her: “Why do we come here, Nicole ?” And Nicole responding, “We come to this place for magic.” Find out more!
