Kings of Leon will headline Sydney Summertime on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2027, with Australian band Ocean Alley as special guests. They are the second headline act announced for the inaugural outdoor concert series at Sydney’s Centennial Park, after The Strokes , who open it Feb. 20 with Beck, Courtney Barnett and Promiseland. The series is run by Secret Sounds and Live Nation. The booking follows the band’s announcement of their 10th studio album, O My Beloved , due Nov. 6 via Love Tap Records and Virgin Music Group. It is the first Kings of Leon album they have produced entirely themselves, following 2024’s Can We Please Have Fun . Lead single “My Whole World” is out now. “I thought, wouldn’t it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here,” frontman Caleb Followill said in announcing the record. The show is open to all ages. Children 12 and under get in free, youth tickets cover ages 13 to 17, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Six ticket experiences range from general admission and front-of-stage Gold Circle to hospitality areas and private suites, and a return public transport pass comes with every ticket. Moshtix is the ticketing partner. A presale opens Thursday (Oct. 22) at noon local time, and general tickets go on sale Tuesday (Oct. 27) at 1 p.m. Fans who pre-order O My Beloved by 4 p.m. AEDT on Wednesday (Oct. 21) get presale access. Organizers say more international and Australian headliners will be announced in the coming months. Kings of Leon’s U.S. chart record explains the demand. “Use Somebody” reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009 and became their first top five hit there. Only by the Night (2008) peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, and Come Around Sundown (2010) and Mechanical Bull (2013) both peaked at No. 2. Walls (2016) debuted at No. 1 with 77,000 equivalent album units, the band’s first U.S. chart-topper.
