A pot of birria on a busy weeknight. Sofrito hitting a hot pan. Warm tortillas passed around the table. A splash of sauce that gives a familiar dish a whole new personality. Latin flavor is always finding new ways into everyday life—and the founders behind these brands are helping lead the way. For EZ Bombs, Loisa, La Banderita and Pisqueya, a connection to culture is the starting point for building something of their own. Each brand answers a different question: How can a time-intensive dish fit into a modern schedule? How can pantry staples evolve with the way families want to eat? How can a flavor missing from grocery shelves reach the people looking for it? Their answers are inventive, personal and made to be shared. These Hispanic founders are turning ideas into businesses, expanding what shoppers can discover and shaping the next chapter of Latin food culture. With these brands available at Walmart, their reach extends into more kitchens and more everyday routines. Walmart makes it easier to explore their products, try something new and bring Latinidad to life through the meals we make and the people we gather around us. Meet four brands bringing their own flavor to what comes next. EZ Bombs For EZ Bombs, innovation began with a practical challenge: bringing the rich, slow-simmered flavors of Mexican cuisine into kitchens where there isn’t always time to cook all day. The answer was the Birria Bomb, a compact blend of seasonings designed to simplify the preparation of a deeply flavorful dish. Dropped into the pot, it helps build the fragrant broth, warming spice and deep red color that make birria so recognizable. It’s an approach that opens up new possibilities for home cooks: a dish that might once have been saved for a special occasion can become part of a weeknight plan or an impromptu gathering. Available at Walmart, EZ Bombs brings that ingenuity to more shoppers, making it easier to put a beloved Mexican flavor on the menu—and make it your own. Loisa Melody Timothee Loisa began with a question about the future: What would it look like to give the next generation the Latin flavors its founders loved, with ingredients that reflected how they wanted to feed their families? As co-founders Kenny Luna and Scott Hattis started families of their own, that question became a business. Loisa reimagined staples like Sazón and Adobo with organic herbs and spices, leaving out artificial colors, flavors and preservatives while keeping the bold, familiar taste at the heart of home cooking. “We believe feeling good about what goes into your food should be just as important as how delicious it tastes,” the founders say. “No compromises necessary.” In 2021, Dominican community chef, food activist and educator Yadira Garcia—Chef Yadi of Happy Healthy Latina—joined as an owner. Together, they developed Loisa’s Sofrito, bringing her family’s recipe into a product designed for today’s kitchens. Chef Yadi’s work in food justice, nutrition and health equity
