Getty Dean McDermott is celebrating three years of sobriety. The 59-year-old Chopped Canada star shared an update on his social media to celebrate the milestone over the weekend. Couldn’t have done it without my Family, Friends, Fellowship, Sponsor and a 12 step program!! It all started with surrendering and asking for help. The best decision I’ve ever made. If you’re struggling, reach out. I love you all” he captioned the post. “Clean Dean here, Happy Friday, I hope you’re having a great Friday…I forgot to share with you that today, June 26, I celebrate three years of being clean and sober. Yes!” he announced in the video. “It can be done! If you’re suffering and you’re in pain, it can be done,” he continued, adding that “Hell has an exit” and encouraging those struggling to reach out for help. “I know in your darkest days that seems like Mount Everest, but reach out. It’s okay, it’s okay. You can’t do this thing alone. None of us can. Reach out and ask for help. Ask a family member, a friend. Find a local meeting…reach out your hand and say I need help,” Dean said. “I am so blessed. I love my life today. Got a beautiful relationship with my kids. All the damage I caused in my past, I’m starting to repair…let’s do this together, man.” Watch above. At the time he went sober, Dean opened up about the end of his marriage to Tori Spelling and admitted that his alcohol addiction was a major factor in their split.
