Getty Images Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are leaving California and moving to Florida. The married couple and Dancing With the Stars alum shared teary-eyed videos of them documenting the journey in a YouTube video uploaded on Monday (June 29). Peta , 39, also shared the clip to Instagram , announcing that she, Maksim , 46, and their three kids, Shai , 9, Rio , 3, and Milan , 1 are relocating to Boca Raton from Los Angeles. “There are tears you don’t expect, goodbyes that hit harder than you imagined, and moments where you wonder if you’re making the right decision,” Peta captioned the video. “But sometimes you have to leave what’s comfortable to find what’s meant for you.” She added that she and Maksim were making “the best decision” for their family. “Our boys are so happy, our hearts are full, and we’re incredibly grateful for this new chapter. Goodbye LA. Hello Florida,” she added. The video itself has “new beginnings” pop up toward the end as Peta and Maksim both appear emotional in the vehicle. Peta also uploaded a video of her and Maksim celebrating the big move . In the clip, she holds up a sign against her belly that says, “We moved to Florida.” “Leaving behind the place we’d called home for so many years wasn’t easy, but sometimes the biggest leaps lead you exactly where you’re meant to be,” she wrote in the caption. “The happiness, the slower pace, the sunshine, watching our boys love every second of it… it’s everything we hoped for and more.. Worth every box. Every goodbye. Every unknown.” “No looking back… only looking forward,” the dancer concluded. Peta had some harsh criticism for the DWTS scoring system last fall.
