Getty Images Moana stars Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho reunite at the Moana Experience launch! The two stars, who voiced Maui and Moana, respectively, in the 2016 animated Disney movie, were both in attendance at Potters Field Park on Tuesday (June 30) in London, England to celebrate the upcoming release of the live-action Moana movie this July. Dwayne is returning to play Maui for the film, but Auli’i is not back as Moana this time around. However, she was an executive producer on the film. (L-R) Thomas Kail, Auli’i Cravalho, Catherine Laga’aia, and Dwayne Johnson At the Moana Experience launch, Auli’i posed alongside Dwayne and new Moana actress Catherine Laga’aia , along with the film’s director Thomas Kail . The “Moana” Experience included a giant 20-foot-tall replica of Maui’s fishhook alongside a recreation of Moana’s canoe. Auli’i Cravalho Auli’i Cravalho The Pacific-inspired event also featured dance, drum, and vocal performances of some of the most popular Moana songs and at the end of the event, students from the British Theatre Academy performed Maui’s iconic song “You’re Welcome.” Dwayne even joined them in their performance on stage! In Disney’s live-action reimagining of the film, “Moana ( Catherine Laga’aia ) answers the Ocean’s call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui ( Dwayne Johnson ) on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people.” FYI: Auli’i is wearing a Patbo dress, Jimmy Choo Rosie Sandals, and Monica Vinader x Amy Powney ring and hoop earrings. Catherine is in LoveShackFancy and has on a Tiffany & Co. ring. Moana arrives in theaters on July 10, 2026. Watch the trailer !
