Getty Zohran Mamdani is commenting on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ‘s upcoming wedding this weekend. The superstar couple is said to be tying the knot at Madison Square Garden on Friday (July 3), and the Mayor of New York City was recently asked about street closures surrounding the venue . During a press conference on Tuesday (June 30), the Mayor was asked about the impending nuptials at MSG, and the comparison to the recent NBA finals. “Outlets are confirming that Taylor Swift ‘s wedding is happening at MSG this Thursday and Friday. Anything you can share on that?” the reporter asked, via People . “And to that point, should New Yorkers be aware of street closures that we saw during the Knicks games and watch parties and those types of things?” Mamdani responded with a smile, saying, “My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool. And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside and you will be staying cool. And I think it’s a good example to set for the city at large.” The National Weather Service has issued a “dangerous heat wave and humidity” warning for this week, going through Friday and likely Saturday. Thursday and Friday temps are said to reach up to 115 degrees! Mamdani also shared a PSA video on social media about the heat wave and, once again, commented on Taylor and Travis ‘ wedding. In the caption, he wrote, “Here’s what you should know about the historic heat wave headed our way.
