Getty Images Gabourey Sidibe confronted Raven-Symoné about past tension during a new episode of the Tea Time podcast. The Oscar-nominated actress confronted the Disney Channel star about how she felt slighted by her during their time working together briefly years ago. The That’s So Raven actress even admitted she did feel “jealous” of Gabourey after she found success with her 2009 Oscar-winning movie Precious from director Lee Daniels . What did Gabourey Sidibe say happened between her and Raven? Gabourey claimed Raven treated her like she “didn’t like” her, which is why she bluntly said, “Girl, I didn’t think you liked me.” Raven ‘s wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday , chimed in to speculate if Gabourey was talking about Empire . Gabourey starred on the hit Fox series. She was recurring in the first season and then was promoted to regular status in season 2 onward. Raven guest-starred in a couple of season 1 episodes. “I was told that you made some people promise to not be friends with me,” Gabourey said. “I was told that you made some folks promise not to be friends with me.” The podcast censored out the names of who they were referring to. Miranda defended her wife, saying Raven can be “shady,” and even “petty,” but she’s not “the type of person who would ever go behind someone’s back and be like, ‘Don’t be friends with her.'” “She doesn’t have that much energy to give to someone else or something else,” Miranda added. Raven then chimed in, “What I would say is like, ‘Don’t bring her around me,” and admitted she used to have “a lot of chips on my shoulders.” Miranda also believes her wife and cohost can also come off as “very cold and very distant” when she’s unsure about someone or a situation.
