The 44-year-old music superstar kicked off the holiday on Saturday (July 4) with the release of “Morning Dew (Donk),” a special gift for fans that simultaneously begins a 60-day countdown to her next birthday (September 4), and the re-issue of her 2006 album B’DAY . The song is featured on the 20th Anniversary edition of the album, and was written by Beyoncé , Pharrell Williams , The-Dream and Darius Dixon , and produced by Beyoncé and Pharrell Williams . It marks her first new song in two years! It also arrived with a lyric video featuring old footage, directed by frequent collaborator, Cliff Watts , who lensed her Sports illustrated Swimsuit cover near her 25th birthday. Beyoncé ‘s latest studio album is Cowboy Carter , which was released on March 29, 2024, the second installment in a planned trilogy that began with 2022’s Renaissance .
