Joan Marcus The beloved musical Mamma Mia! is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary by touring the country and we caught up with the show’s leading star, Juliette Ojeda , to learn more about her. Juliette plays the role of Sophie Sheridan, who was portrayed in the movie version by Amanda Seyfried . In the show, she gets to sing such ABBA songs as “Honey, Honey,” “Thank You for the Music,” “The Name of the Game,” “Under Attack,” “Slipping Through My Fingers,” and “I Have a Dream.” The tour of Mamma Mia! is currently playing at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles through July 19. The tour is scheduled to continue traveling around North America through July 2027. Check out 10 Fun Facts about Juliette below. Juliette Ojeda’s 10 Fun Facts I am a first generation Cuban American. Literally the first person in my family ever to be born in the states. I am bilingual. I speak fluent Spanish and English! I didn’t learn English till I was 8 years old. I have been performing since I was in the 5th grade. My first role ever was the Grinch in The Grinch musical. I am a young single dog mom. I have a mini dachshund named Jackson who travels the country with me! I love making authentic Cuban recipes like papas rellenas, croquetas, and pastelitos. I make authentic Cuban coffee every morning in my Italian mocha pot. Thankful to my dad who taught me to make it! I journal every day. The first thing I like to do in the morning while drinking my coffee is writing down how I feel and my intentions for the day. I also look forward to specific moon cycles to manifest my dreams. I never finished college, but I have aspirations of continuing my theater education in England or Spain. I am a big reader. I love reading every chance I get.
