Getty Sacha Baron Cohen is reprising his role as Ali G! The three-time Oscar-nominated actor and filmmaker will be first appeared as the character in 1998 on the Channel 4 show The 11 O’Clock Show and then played the role on his own show, Da Ali G Show , and in the movie, Ali G Indahouse . Da Ali G Show also featured the character Borat, which served as the inspiration for two popular movies. Variety has confirmed that Sacha secretly filmed a brand-new movie for Ali G, reprising the role in a movie for the first time in over 20 years. The news was first reported by The InSneider. Ali G is known for his street interviews and using hip hop slang. In addition to his iconic characters, Sacha is best known for his work in movies like Sweeney Todd , Hugo , The Dictator , Les Miserables , and The Trial of the Chicago 7 , which earned him his first Oscar nomination for acting. He most recently appeared in the Netflix comedy film Ladies First , which is now streaming. A release date for the Ali G movie has not been revealed and the film still hasn’t been officially confirmed by Sacha or his team.
