Getty Images Melanie Chisholm has a very exciting update for Spice Girls fans! The singer also known as Mel C a.k.a. Sporty Spice recently appeared on The Louis Theroux Podcast where she shared that the group’s beloved cult classic 1997 movie Spice World could finally be heading to streaming in “the not-too-distant future.” “It’s not available at the moment. It will be, because there were a lot of people that owned it. It was kind of all over the place,” she said. “So we’ve had to come together. The Spice Girls now fully own it, so we will be presenting it at some point in hopefully the not-too-distant future for people to enjoy,” Mel C added. Spice World followed the girl group during their London tour as they got caught up in a series of wild adventures. The movie was written by Kim Fuller and directed by Bob Spiers . The film also featured a star-studded lineup, including Alan Cumming , Elton John , Richard E. Grant , Hugh Laurie , Elvis Costello , and more. Back in May, Mel C also responded to longtime speculation about her sexuality, saying on The Mitch Churi Chat Show that some people made assumptions because of her athletic image in the group.
