Majo Aguilar Signs Global Publishing Deal With UMPG Mexico: ‘I Can’t Wait for All the Beautiful Things Ahead’

Aguilar’s latest album, Mariachi Mío (Deluxe) , released in December 2025, showcases her ability to experiment with traditional mariachi music by fusing it with genres such as huapango, flamenco, rap and tumbado. Aguilar recently became the first woman ambassador of the World Mariachi Congress, performing Mexico’s national anthem at acclaimed events, including boxer Canelo Álvarez’s fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. “It is an honor to work with Majo and to have earned her trust,” said Catalina Santa Peña , general manager of Universal Music Publishing Group Mexico. “Beyond being a remarkable songwriter and artist who approaches her craft with care and intention, she undeniably carries the legacy of Mexico in her voice and in her blood, something that fills all of us with pride.” Since late 2024, the member of the Aguilar Dynasty has been on the “Dos Dinastías, Una Tradición” (Two Dynasties, One Tradition) tour alongside Alex Fernández, the son of singer Alejandro Fernández and grandson of the late Vicente Fernández. On Nov. 13, Aguilar is set to headline the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, marking one of the biggest milestones of her career to date.
