After nearly a month of action, just eight teams are left vying for soccer’s biggest prize as the tournament enters the knockout stage’s final rounds. The first quarterfinal takes place today (Thursday, July 9) with France taking on Morocco at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The winner will advance to the semifinals to face either Spain or Belgium. What matches are on the World Cup schedule today? There is one match today (Thursday, July 9) that you can watch. Thursday, July 9 France vs. Morocco (4:00 p.m. ET; Fox/Telemundo/Peacock) — Boston Stadium (Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA) France enters the match moving one step closer to a third World Cup title, while Morocco is looking to return to the semifinals after another impressive World Cup run. How to Watch the World Cup Today for Free You can watch the World Cup on Fox and FS1, with Spanish-language broadcasts available on Telemundo and Universo. The World Cup can be streamed on FOX One , which currently offers a three day trial. There are also free trials available through services like YouTube , Fubo and DirecTV .
