Ella Langley ‘s massive hit “Choosin’ Texas” got some love from Niall Horan and Thomas Rhett in Nashville at one of the pair’s two special co-headlining summer stadium concerts. Fans shared the fun, one-off moment in clips on social media after the gig. The Nashville co-encore also had Horan and Rhett bringing out a One Direction classic, “Steal My Girl” — plus they joined forces on a performance of Horan’s solo release “Heaven” and Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man.” When put on the spot at the ACM Awards, Rhett told Billboard , without hesitation, that “Steal My Girl” is his favorite One Direction song — even launching into an impromptu sing-along on the red carpet. At the Nashville gig, Rhett and Horan kept the party going with a performance of “Old Tricks,” which had originally paired Rhett with Blake Shelton but had Horan filling in for Shelton’s part; Rhett and Horan actually recorded their version of the track together for a deluxe edition of About a Woman . Both artists shared a video of Thursday night’s live performance on Instagram . This was all in addition to full solo sets from the pop-rock and country stars at the one-night concert in Nashville on Thursday. There’s only more chance to catch Horan and Rhett co-headlining: they’re set for a date at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa., on July 18. “Niall and I have been buddies for nearly a decade now, but one thing we’ve not done yet is officially tour together,” Rhett commented when the shows were announced . “There’s nothing I love more than being on the road alongside longtime friends — it’s going to be a blast for us and the fans.” Horan chimed in, “When TR brought up the idea of doing these, I immediately got so excited just thinking about it. We’ve been friends for ages and it just makes perfect sense.”
