Benny Blanco would do anything for his wife Selena Gomez . Well, anything that doesn’t require the admitted aerophobic to get on a plane, because he’s afraid of flying. But on Thursday (July 16), Blanco showed his endless love in a TikTok clip captioned, “POV: ur traveling across the atlantic in the titanic to see ur wife bc ur scared of flying.” In the accompanying video , captioned “the things we do for love” and soundtracked by Sam Cooke’s 1962 Billboard Hot 100 No. 12 hit “Nothing Can Change This Love,” Blanco stares into the camera and then points to the watery horizon as the boat makes its trans Atlantic trip. Blanco’s grand romantic ocean crossing adventure, which typically takes a week or more to complete, comes ahead of Gomez’s 34th birthday celebration on July 22. The singer/actress is currently in London filming the sixth season of her hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building . In a TikTok from April, Blanco chronicled what he said was his first flight in eight years , seemingly soothing his nerves with some medicinal toking, in a video in which the camera caught his nervous finger tapping, giant exhale after takeoff and his “holy s–t!” exclamation when he looked down at the receding coastline. He noted in the clip that the last time he made a similar Atlantic crossing was with Ed Sheeran when they were working on the singer’s 2017 Divide album. “I’m not sure you realize how monumental this is for me,” he said into the camera in the April clip, in which he stress-eats handfuls of goldfish crackers, plugs his 2026 self-help book F–k Failure . “I haven’t flown in 10 years, I’m the poster child for failure,” he says over soothing classical violin accompaniment. “You just keep getting up and you f–king do it. Like, even if it scares you,” he adds, white-knuckling the landing and kissing the ground after de-planing. Last week, Blanco offered up the first taste of his Spanish-language album Hermoso (Gorgeous) , which is due out on Aug. 14.
