Getty Mckenna Grace is back with a new song from the soundtrack of her upcoming movie Nimrods on Tuesday (July 21), called “It’s So Fine.” The 20-year-old Scream actress and singer revealed the details behind the new track in a lengthy post to her Instagram on the same day. When Did Mckenna Grace Write “It’s So Fine”? My new single It’s So Fine is OUT NOW!!! I actually wrote this song before I filmed Nimrods for my own personal project, but when I was pitching music to our director, Lee Kirk , this one just felt like the perfect fit,” she began. “I started writing music when I was around 14, and my biggest inspirations / favorite artists were Green Day and Conan Gray – so this feels really full circle:,),” she continued. Mckenna Grace Shares Meaning Behind “It’s So Fine” “With this song, I wanted to capture the feeling of having a million thoughts racing through your head at once. I wanted it to be upbeat and the lyrics to flow like my stream of consciousness… stressed out, erratic, busy, sarcastic, all over the place. It definitely reflects where my head was when I wrote it and it’s definitely still how my brain works today,” Mckenna revealed of the song’s meaning. “I wanted this song to feel like my messy diary entry, but to music. The feeling of falling apart to so much pressure but all you say is ‘it’s so fine, I’m so fine.’ I hope you guys love it:),” she concluded. What Is Nimrods About? “NIMRODS is a coming-of-age story about three friends ( Mason Thames , Kylr Coffman , and Ryan Foust ) who journey to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing that their band is opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.
