Disney / Pixar Toy Story 5 is officially in the billionaires club. The fifth installment in the Toy Story franchise just pushed past the $1 billion mark at the global box office as of this weekend, per Deadline. After bringing in an additional $34.7 million from global markets over the weekend, the film has now brought in over $1.02 billion , becoming the third movie to make a billion dollars this year. It’s now the highest-grossing movie of 2026, and Disney’s first movie to hit the billion mark. The only movies that have crossed the billion-dollar mark globally in 2026 are The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($1.011 billion), Michael ($1.010 billion), and now Toy Story 5 . Toy Story 5 is now the sixth highest-grossing Pixar movie of all-time after Inside Out 2 ($1.69B), Incredibles 2 ($1.24B), Toy Story 4 ($1.07B), Toy Story 3 ($1.06B), and Finding Dory ($1.029B), and No. 14 on the all-time animated worldwide list, Deadline also reports. In the fifth movie, Woody (voice of Tom Hanks ), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen ), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack ) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee ), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie.
