Trueno , Slayyyter and Bella Kay sit down with Billboard for our Up & Coming issue cover interview to talk breakthrough moments, creative identity and what success actually feels like in real time. From Trueno calling TURR4ZO a “biography” of his life, to Slayyyter unpacking the mindset behind breakout album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA , to Bella Kay navigating debut-album pressure after her viral hit “Iloveitiloveitiloveit,” this conversation goes deep on growth, honesty and staying grounded. They also dig into the realities of internet-era fame, the push and pull of algorithms and oversaturation, and why AI music can’t replace the emotional core of real artists. Plus: cosigns, critical acclaim, touring milestones (including Bella heading out to open for Noah Kahan ) and the most meaningful “acknowledgement” they’ve received so far. Every, like, that was just, you just understood me.” Jason Lipshutz Part of the reason we’re all here today is because you guys have all enjoyed breakthrough moments in 2026, and I’m curious just how it’s been dealing with the professional change and the personal change, because obviously you have new opportunities in terms of professional opportunities, but you also have new realities, you have new, you know, your whole existences have changed to some degree. Let’s start with you, Bella. What, what do you think? Bella Kay I mean, I don’t think that that kind of thing is ever easy. It’s definitely something where it’s growing pains, and you kind of learn, and you make mistakes. But I also think when it comes to, like, personal versus professional, I think you really wanna have a good, like, personal circle that you can really trust and rely on because sometimes the professional gets crazy, or gets hectic, or it gets scary.
