Getty Ariana Grande ‘s fourth song on the new album Petal is the track “ Stay ,” in which she gets vulnerable about trust issues in relationships. The 33-year-old Grammy winner sings with her full chest voice on this track and she sings about being unsure what to do while falling for a new guy. “Can’t find nothing wrong with you / I’m falling for you, what do I do? / I just wanna stay this time / Now, really I should stay this time, stay,” Ariana sings at the beginning. Ariana later sings about her insecurities with relationships, revealing how she’s been hurt before and wants to make sure her new guy keeps her “safe.” She sings on the second chorus, “I just wanna stay this time / But can you keep me safe this time?” Ariana is perhaps singing about the beginnings of her relationship with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater , who she started dating after her divorce from husband Dalton Gomez .
