Getty Stephen Baldwin is opening up about his decision to leave mainstream Hollywood behind at the height of his fame. The 60-year-old Usual Suspects star told People in an interview published Monday (August 2) that he “didn’t want to be Tom Cruise ” and “have to make $100 million at the box office.” More than 20 years ago, Stephen chose to reconnect with his faith alongside his wife Kennya Baldwin , whom he shares daughters Alaia Baldwin Aronow , 33, and Hailey Baldwin Bieber , 29. According to him, his wife said she had spoken to their housekeeper, Augusta , who predicted Stephen and Kennya “would become born-again Christians and have our own ministry.” Despite his initial skepticism, Stephen did start to become increasingly interested in Christianity and found his own ministries. “Jesus is my rock,” he shared. “My wife is my anchor. I’ve had the most amazing life and I’m only 60. I’m so blessed. I’m just waiting for more doors open that I’m supposed to walk through.” Nowadays he focuses on producing Christian films for young audiences and he has a podcast called One Bad Movie , where he talks to actors about the worst film they’ve made or the worst experience they’ve had on set. Stephen has spoken about how proud he is of daughter Hailey in the past .
