Getty Bowen Yang is heading to Broadway! The 35-year-old actor, best known for his seven season run on Saturday Night Live , will play the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in the hit Broadway show Oh, Mary! for a limited 12-week engagement. While this is Bowen ‘s Broadway debut, he’s actually a Tony Award nominee already as he was a producer on the show Titanique , which was nominated for Best Musical earlier this year. He will begin his run on Tuesday, September 15 and will be on Broadway through Sunday, December 6. The Tony-winning play was written by Cole Escola , who won the award for Best Actor in a Play for their work as Mary. “My friendship with Cole has brought me many places over the years: late-night pizzerias, cross-borough social-distance walks, a tough production of Les Misérables sung in Dutch,” Bowen said in a statement. “But being part of their deranged and profound masterpiece, Oh, Mary! is my favorite one by far.
