Getty Perez Hilton has been making headlines following a deeply concerning livestream. The 48-year-old celebrity blogger appeared to harm himself during a social media livestream, prompting multiple calls to police. The sheriff’s office confirmed that Perez was transported to a hospital for medical attention, and his management later issued a statement. In recent years, Perez has spoken candidly with his followers about anxiety, depression, burnout, self-care, and his efforts to improve his overall well-being. Take a look back at what Perez Hilton has shared over the years… In 2011, Perez Hilton Revealed He “Started Therapy” During an interview, Perez addressed comments online. “When I was unhappier, what people said didn’t bother me because I could hide behind the mask of Perez . Now I feel happier than I’ve ever been in my whole life, so it still doesn’t bother me. I turned 33, the year of Christ, the double prime — it’s a powerful number and a powerful year — and I’m taking steps in the right direction in every part of my life, professionally and personally. These last 12 months of growth have been the most cathartic of my whole life. I even started therapy. I’ve been putting the work into myself, making myself better, happier, healthier, and hopefully that reflects itself in my websites and in everything else that I do,” he said to The Advocate. Perez Hilton Spoke About Anxiety in 2022 In 2022, he uploaded a video called “Guess Who’s Back? My Anxiety!” and spoke about an anxiety attack he experienced at the gym. Here’s what he had to say… “My anxiety is back. I had a full-on anxiety attack today while I was working out at the gym, and I’ll get to that. But first, I just took a shower. Before that, I shaved, went to the gym, and had an awful workout. But a bad workout is better than no workout. I have accomplished three things today. I was really beating myself up during the workout because I kept telling my mind, ‘Shut it off. Stop.’ But my brain wasn’t cooperating. It wasn’t listening. After class, the group fitness instructor thanked me for showing up. I told her what I was going through, and she gave me a hug. That hug was so healing. Why am I sharing this? Well, first, because I want to release my anxiety. Second, because it’s okay not to be okay. That mantra—it’s okay not to be okay. And it’s okay to talk about not being okay. Third, I’m talking about this because the hug that the group fitness instructor gave me after I told her I’d had an anxiety attack during class was really healing. It helped me more than I could have imagined, so thank you to her. And for the people who matter most to you, if you can, try to check in with them in person. Then give them a hug. And if you’re somebody I know in the real world and you need a hug—or just want one—hit me up. I’m here for you, and I’m a great hugg
