Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have extended their record-breaking run with a 20th week atop the U.K.’s Singles Chart with “Rein Me In” on the tally published Friday (Aug. 7). They took down a record that was held for 73 years by Frankie Laine for “I Believe,” which earned 18 weeks back in 1953. During Dean’s headline set at Lollapalooza Aug. 1, she brought out Fender to give “Rein Me In” its first live performance in North America. Elsewhere, Shakira and Burna Boy’s FIFA World Cup anthem, “Dai Dai,” holds its position at No. 2; the track currently sits at No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart . As she earns her sixth consecutive U.K. No. 1 album , Ariana Grande earns two spots inside the top five this week with “Hate That I Made You Love Me” and “Petal” at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Grande will commence the final leg of her Eternal Sunshine Tour in London next Saturday (Aug. 15) with a 10-night run at The O2. Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” falls two spots from its previous peak to No. 5, while Sienna Spiro’s “Great Expectation” rises five positions to a new peak of No. 10. Following its appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day , Tame Impala’s “Loser” bursts into the top 40 for the first time (No. 27). As reported in Billboard’s Trending Up column , the song has skyrocketed a stunning 838% to more than 2.6 million streams in the U.S. since the film’s release.
