Matthew Murphy Jay Armstrong Johnson and Jimin Moon are starring in new production photos from the off-Broadway show Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody ! The new pics were unveiled just hours ahead of the musical’s official opening night at 6th Floor Theater at The Culture Club on Tuesday (May 26) in New York City. What is Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody about? Here’s a synopsis: Inspired by the hit show about hockey, Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody follows “starry-eyed golden boy Shane Hollander on his journey from power center to power bottom. Relive all of the moments from the show that made you wet (with tears) up close on the small-stage by an incredible cast of Broadway actors who thought they were auditioning to be in Season 2.” Also starring in the show are Ryann Redmond , Cherry Torres , and Ryan Duncan , as well as Shelby Acosta and Daniel Brackett as standbys. It was also just announced that Canada Dry Ginger Ale has partnered with the musical parody to serve up drinks during the show. “Throughout the show, ginger ale serves as a subtle but meaningful symbol of comfort and connection, making the partnership a natural fit. Canada Dry Ginger Ale will be integrated on-stage and in-theater, including custom drink offerings that give fans a refreshing way to feel even more connected to the story they love.” Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody was originally only going to run for eight weeks, through July, but will now run through September 7th.
