TOMORROW X TOGETHER ‘s “Setsuna Hanabi” debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 , on the chart released Aug. 26. The title track of the group’s fifth Japan single dropped Aug. 19 and ruled both radio airplay and downloads while moving 420,878 physical copies for No. 2 on sales. The song also lands at No. 13 for streaming and No. 21 for video views. AKB48’s “Suki-ish” bows at No. 2. The title track of the group’s 68th single was released Aug. 19 and marked the week’s highest physical sales with 765,977 copies sold. EBiDAN’s “Yes! Tokyo” falls to No. 3 but continues to dominate video with several member-group “ taiken nyugaku ” (experience enrollment) versions also continuing to climb — the GNJB version rises 46-37, the Bullet Train version 66-50, and the ONE N’ ONLY version 80-62. Kento Nakajima’s “ONIGOTO” debuts at No. 4. The opener for the anime series The Elusive Samurai Season 2 launched with 90,112 copies to hit No. 3 for sales while also placing No. 4 for downloads. Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Brand New” — the theme song for Japan’s dubbed version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day — slips to No. 5 while retaining its No. 1 position on streaming for another week. M!LK’s “Sukisugite Metsu!” follows at No. 6, Spitz’s “Mishiranu Ito” at No. 7 (No. 2 for downloads), and ILLIT’s “It’s Me” at No. 8. Kenshi Yonezu’s “IRIS OUT” sits at No. 11, reaching a cumulative total of 49 weeks on the Japan Hot 100. Fujifabric’s “Wakamono no Subete” (2008) climbs 78-43 with radio airplay landing at No. 15 — a testament to the track’s enduring momentum more than 11 years after its release. Wasureranneyo’s “Nanmonee” debuts at No. 55, placing No. 13 for video and No. 19 for downloads. SPEED’s “Body & Soul” (1997) makes its first-ever chart appearance at No. 87 after being featured as the theme song for the Netflix reality series Badly in Love Season 2. The track received a remastered digital release that drove gains across radio and streaming.
