Getty Images It looks like Russell Wilson is headed towards NFL retirement, and he already has his next gig lined up! The 10-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl-winning quarterback will be in the studio this upcoming season instead of on the NFL field. He’s apparently signing with CBS Sports to become an analyst with the network, according to ESPN ‘s Adam Schefter . Russell actually had an offer from the New York Jets to become their backup quarterback after his time with the New York Giants. However, it looks like he decided to hang up his cleats – for now – and join the broadcasting team over at CBS. Others featured on CBS’ commentating crew include James Brown , Nate Burleson and Bill Cowher . Russell will be replacing Matt Ryan in the role, who is now headed to the Atlanta Falcons to help his old team as their new President of Football. Russell has not yet made a statement on this decision, but stay tuned. It is always possible he could come back and play, especially if teams suddenly need a quarterback unexpectedly.
