50 Cent threw on the boxing gloves and performed his own stunts in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Paramount Pictures released a trailer on Tuesday (Sept. 1) for the live-action remake based on the famed video game series. Street Fighter is slated to hit U.S. theaters on Oct. 16. The action-packed teaser is based around Chun-Li, who is played by Callina Liang, attempting to convince Ryu (Andrew Koji) that Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) finds himself in a precarious situation and needs help ASAP traversing the World Warrior Tournament. Sporting the hilarious M-shaped hairline, another clip shows 50 suited up and heading to the club, where WWE superstar Cody Rhodes makes an appearance. Comedian Eric Andre even shines as the in-ring announcer for the fights. Per The Hollywood Reporter , 50 underwent intense training to hold up in the ring and make sure there was no need for a stunt double. As far as rounding out the rest of the cast, WWE’s Roman Reigns (Joe Anoa’i), Jason Momoa and country singer Orville Peck also star in Street Fighter. The G-Unit boss will also be contributing to the Street Fighter soundtrack. During a July appearance on Today With Jenna and Sheinelle , 50 revealed a tantalizing posthumous collaboration with 2Pac and Eminem. “I got some music that I’m working on. I did something currently me, Eminem and 2Pac,” he teased. “I got some music that I’m working on. I did something currently me, Eminem and 2Pac.” 50 and Em have remained close over the years, while colliding for tracks like “Don’t Push Me,” “Patiently Waiting,” “Gatman & Robin” and “You Don’t Know.” Watch the Street Fighter trailer below.
