Miley Cyrus wants you to dance. The Grammy-winning artist launched the Bass Persuades rollout with the self-titled single and an accompanying visual arriving on Thursday evening (Sept. 3). For the longtime fans, think Can’t Be Tamed era with a sharper edge, as the clip finds Miley turning a bustling city into her personal dance floor. The grungy music video’s giving Britney Spears and Madonna “Me Against the Music” in the best way and Miley’s bringing the extended choreography to the table, in full pop-star mode. “We can’t live like this forever/ And surrender to the night when our bodies close together,” she sings on the catchy chorus. Fans won’t have to wait much longer for more new music, as Miley’s 10th studio album, Bass Persuades , is slated to be released on Sept. 18. “Music takes hold of us,” she wrote about the LP’s meaning. “We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.” In celebration of the new project, Miley will be returning to the stage for a rare pair of performances at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 16 and 18. General tickets go on sale starting on Sept. 10. “It’s been a while,” she wrote, before adding: “I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.” The 33-year-old’s last album, Something Beautiful , arrived in May 2025 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
