Taking to Reddit ‘s “Am I the A–hole” forum, the woman explained that both she and her cousin were in their 20s. Though they had “never been close” and were mostly “just polite” with each other, she said that they shared “basic civility.” Despite that, the Redditor decided to give the newlyweds an extremely generous wedding gift — she funded their honeymoon to Bora Bora. While the bride was initially thrilled with the gift, the situation turned sour once they arrived for their vacation. After that, the woman said her mom became “very emotionally invested” in her cousin and tried to take care of her. I earn well, my husband runs a successful business, and we’re in a stable position. It was a significant expense, but I was happy to do it,” she said, adding that her cousin “was ecstatic and extremely grateful.” However, “That gratitude didn’t last long.” “On the first day of the honeymoon, she sent me a restaurant bill of around $200 and asked me to reimburse her.
