The song is the lead single from Grande’s studio album petal , which, in August, opened as her seventh No. 1 on the U.S.-based Billboard 200 . “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” ran up 10 consecutive weeks atop Global Excl. U.S. (July 4-Sept. 5). The song, which became the first official World Cup anthem to lead the chart, benefited from World Cup performances that bookended celebrations of the latest edition of soccer’s signature competition. Shakira and Burna Boy sang it for a reported 80,000-plus fans at the opening ceremony June 11 at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.
