Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel Sets Monthly Music Series Spotlighting Women Artists, Starting With Jo Dee Messina

Songwriting and shining a light on other artists are two key elements of Dolly Parton ‘s lasting legacy, from her wealth of self-written songs and collaborations to the artists who perform regularly at her Dollywood theme park and other ventures around Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Parton’s soon-to-open SongTeller Hotel in Nashville is continuing that mission through a new partnership with FEMco, an organization founded by music industry veteran exec Leslie Fram to help champion women in music. Parton’s Live, an intimate performance venue inside the SongTeller Hotel, will host the monthly music series “FEMcountry at Parton’s Live,” a showcase dedicated to elevating rising and established women artists. The series also supports Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel’s commitment to celebrating songwriters. Messina is known for hits including “Bring on the Rain” and “Bye Bye,” while third-generation rodeo girl and singer/songwriter Kylie Frey is a co-writer on Reba McEntire’s recent release “One Night in Tulsa.” Amanfu has earned multiple Grammy nominations, and her music and voice have been heard on programs including The Chosen and Little Fires Everywhere . Fairchild is known for songs including “You Don’t Lie Here Anymore,” and just released her new album, Sacred Southern Daughter .
