She also tagged collaborators JoyBeth Taylor, Miranda Lambert and Luke Dick. The latest milestone puts Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” in a tie for the longest-leading No. 1 hit in Hot 100 history. The song now matches Mariah Carey ‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has also spent 22 weeks atop the chart across its run from 2019 through 2026. According to the Sept. 19-dated chart, Choosin’ Texas” remains at No. 1, extending its historic run beyond Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ collab, “Old Town Road.” The latter two songs each spent 19 weeks at the summit and are the next non-holiday tracks to lead the tally.
