Getty Images The latest entry into the Scary Movie franchise is packed with horror spoofs, but some of the most memorable sketches were left until the post-credits. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly , writers Marlon Wayans , Shawn Wayans , and director Michael Tiddes revealed that one parody concept, titled “Brosferatu,” was originally planned for the film before ultimately replaced by a Michael parody since the Michael Jackson biopic is getting significant attention. The buddy-comedy send-up of Robert Eggers ‘ Nosferatu was developed alongside other concepts, like “Short Hand,” the film’s take on Osgood Perkins ‘ Longlegs . Another reason for the Michael and “Brosferatu” swap is because the former “wasn’t horror and we were looking for something that wasn’t horror-related,” Shawn said. “So we picked Michael , but we still thought [‘Brosferatu’] was really funny. So we said, ‘Let’s put it as an Easter egg.’ And it was the same thing with the Chris Elliott scene with little Damon and Heidi .” Chris Elliott returns to play “Short Hand” in the film’s take on the Longlegs interrogation scene, featuring Damon Wayans Jr. and Heidi Gardner as spoof versions of Blair Underwood and Maika Monroe . After an early appearance in the movie, they return for the credits scene. “We just thought Heidi was hilarious,” Marlon added. “We were thinking about that character — it’s always about the character. And that character being psychic, but playing it dumb, but still being hilarious.” Michael also shared that the scenes for the Longlegs parody were intentionally filmed differently from the rest of the movie. “What’s so fun about these movies, and the challenge, is finding an organic way to transition from one to the next, and then how do you bring it back? Bring it to the story and then bring it to the next joke?” he said. “I accomplished that in many, many different ways, from pacing to sound to changing the way I shot different scenes. When I was doing Longlegs , I used a lot of very wide-angle lenses,” the filmmaker explained. Anna Faris recently revealed there was a Melania Trump joke cut from the film!
