ABC, Getty Kirsten Storms is breaking her silence following the claims ex-husband Brandon Barash made against her. In April, Brandon , 46, obtained an emergency restraining order against Kirsten , 42, and claimed that she is going through a “mental health crisis.” The former couple met on the set of General Hospital and got married in 2013, welcomed their daughter, Harper , into the world one year later, and then got a divorce in 2016. After Brandon got remarried in 2025, he moved to Nashville and Kirsten also made the move to the city to help their now 12-year-old daughter adjust to a new life. She took time off from General Hospital amid the move and also some health issues . Brandon claimed that in May 2025, Kirsten reached out to him and said she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and “didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.” She was hospitalized and put on a psychiatric hold, but allegedly acted as if nothing had happened once she was released. Following the allegations, Kirsten took to Instagram on Sunday night (June 7) to respond where she also addressed her absence from GH . “Update (again), this topic is difficult to address….but here we go…I’m sure some of you guys have read the stories online regarding a situation involving something my ex-husband is currently trying to claim,” Kirsten began. “Because I did see one story online stating I reported the apartment break-in AFTER he filed something against me in court, I really need to address this entire issue. I took that photo in August of last year – months before Brandon filed anything in court. I was also speaking with the people who worked in the leasing office of the building (in person and via email), attempting to get answers on the damage to my door and wanting to know about locating building camera footage. This communication also started the first week of August.” “I waited to post about the break-in on my Instagram for a few months. I had already moved out of the building and honestly, it’s been something that is difficult to accept happened pretty much as soon as I moved out here.” Kirsten explained. “Choosing to take time off from work (for my own personal reasons) was a ‘leap of faith’ kind of moment for myself. Seeking a ‘quality of life’ kinda thing?” “Moving to Tennessee, as
