NBC, Getty The Biggest Loser was back in the spotlight last year thanks for a Netflix docu-series that took a critical lens to the long-running NBC series. The competition series followed overweight and obese people competing to lose the most weight in order to win a cash prize, but also transform themselves in the process. Across 18 seasons, including one that aired on USA Network, hundreds of contestants lost thousands of pounds collectively on the show.
