Getty Rich Paul is sharing some very rare comments about his relationship with Adele ! If you didn’t know, the 45-year-old sports agent and the 38-year-old “Someone Like You” singer first sparked romance rumors in 2021 when they attended an NBA game together. Three years later, after a lot of speculation, Adele confirmed in August 2024 that they were engaged . While appearing on the Tuesday (June 9) episode of Craig Melvin ‘s Glass Half Full podcast , Rich opened up about his relationship with Adele and revealed how they met. “I had known her for some time,” Rich shared. “You know, just when you’re in these circles, man, you’re in these circles,” he continued. “But I never tried to get fresh with people that’s in comfortable circles because they always have to deal with that, so that was never my thing.” “It was really something that happened very organically, really,” he added. Rich noted that “obviously, you can’t help but to hear the monster hits,” referring to Adele ‘s songs, but admitted that he wasn’t an active listener of her music. “But obviously, you know, I’m pretty on the pulse of a lot of different things, and so, you know, some of the songs, the big songs, but I didn’t know all of the joints that I know now,” he explained. When further pressed about their relationship, Rich said that he and Adele would bump into each other on occasion, leading to them getting to know each other better. “We’re all in the same vicinity, we’re all in the same circles, and, you know, we’re hanging and whatnot,” he shared. “We just used to always see each other, laugh and joke. It was just cordial, really, just cordial.” Rich then joked it remained cordial “until it became not so cordial” and he “became a person of interest” for Adele .
